Sometimes the best thing or the best solution to something doesn't workout for people. It is because best things are more workable with the best people.
You can't expect from an illiterate person to figure out drawbacks of political theories of Socrates, Machiavelli, Bodin etc, who can't even understand the words 'democracy', 'state', 'government' and 'frredom'....!! (However exceptions may exist)
The same thing applies to Indian Constitution. It is one of the best Constitution in the world. Written and discussed by the most learned, knowledgeable and experienced persons we got in that era. Still, we lag behind with so many issues on world forum. That's perhaps because we didn't required the best.
Our literacy rate at that time was so low. Today also it's around 74.04%. That's just the literacy rate. We don't have any idea, if these literate people have enough knowledge about government, it's functioning, Constitutional duties, etc.
Perhaps this is the reason why people vote in the name of Caste, Religion, Personal Profit etc. They hardly understand what they are doing by promoting corrupt politicians and leaders.
That's how the best thing is
converted into a degraded form...!
